Welcome, welcome. Come in and learn about the Ghoul from the Fallout TV series, who will be arriving into town with everybody's favorite Vault Dweller, Lucy.
Warning: There's some graphic violence in one of the gifs and the clip I embedded.
The Show

Fallout the TV series is based off the Fallout game series -- you know where the bombs drop on the world and you cut to roughly 200 years later (in most games) and have to try to live in the inhospitable wasteland. There's ghouls, there's mutants, there's fascists, and there's an evil corporation that trapped a shitload of people in vaults underground to perform experiments on them. And were quite likely the ones who dropped the bombs in the first place.
The TV show can be looked at as a new story in the world rather than an adaptation of a specific game. The show is set in California where you follow three (four) protagonists -- Lucy, a young woman from Vault 33 who is trying to find her father, Maximus, a Brotherhood of Steel aspirant, and the Ghoul, who is a bounty hunter with a chip on his shoulder against Vault-Tec. The secret fourth protagonist is Lucy's brother Hank, who is trying to solve the mystery of "Why are these vaults so fucked up"?
It's a fun show, a lovely homage to the games, and as a warning it's hyper-violent if you want to get into it.
The Ghoul

Mr. Cooper Howard, actor and Vault-Tec sponsor

And the Ghoul, bounty hunter, dog enthusiast
We're going to do this part in bullet points.
- 200 years ago the Ghoul was a family man and famous actor by the name of Cooper Howard. He was there to watch the bombs drop and lost track of his ex-wife and child in the process (I'm gonna be vague on those details because the show hasn't covered them yet).
- He was also a Vault-Tec spokesperson and the model for Vault Boy (the little cartoon guy you see who is always giving a thumbs up).
- Cooper was one of the rare humans where radiation healed rather than helped, but it also turned him into a ghoul -- Fallout's version of a zombie. He lost his hair, his skin became gnarled and scarred, his nose totally falls off. Generally not a great looking dude and his kind faces a lot of prejudice in the wasteland. Over time he stopped using his name and accepted being a bogeyman of the wasteland.
- He's also got a southern drawl. Because Goggins.
- FTR that prejudice is slightly justified as ghouls can be either feral or non-feral. The feral ones will eat your face. And it's kind of hard to tell the two apart at a distance.
- In order to prevent him from eating faces, he is dependent on a drug that he inhales to keep his sanity.
- However, will still eat a dude. You know, if the opportunity presented itself. Y'all shouldn't have to worry about it.

- Being a ghoul, he is immune to radiation damage and has a healing ability. I don't think he'd survive a bomb dropped on him, but he can have his finger bitten off and sew it back on just fine.
- Back when he was a human he was a Marine, and as an actor he starred in westerns, so the man knows his way around a gun. Also spent 200 years fighting for his life in the wasteland so he really, REALLY knows his way around a gun.
- Lassos too.
- He's not the nicest dude around. In fact, I'd say he was downright mean and cynical on a normal day and downright ruthless if you push him. He'll leave you alone so long as you're not in the way of his chems or his bounty, and won't be the most cheerful guy at the bar.
- But he will be at the bar because that's how you get work when you're a bounty hunter.

- He will be arriving with Lucy but they aren't really "friends". More like a "we both hate the same people so let's hang out" kind of relationship. Also they've bitten/sliced off each other's fingers which has to mean something.
- The Ghoul will also be bringing the bestest girl (she is a GIRL on the show, people), Dogmeat. Who is a dog, as the name implies.

Also if you were curious about his stats here they be:

Me

- I'm Sam. Marylander. Video game and ranch dressing enthusiast.
- I also play Diego Hargreeves, Evan Buckley and Wanda Maximoff but they already have their own info posts without much changes. To catch you up: Diego is a father to twins, Buck is a bisexual idiot (I can relate), and Wanda is out there doing her best.
- My pinging style is usually "work". I usually ping while I'm at work. I work for a flooring company which is very boring. When I get home or on weekends I can and will wander off. If you want to keep a thread going just let me know!
- Is half the appeal of this character getting to play Uncle Baby Billy on AU weekend? The world may never know.
